Krk is the largest island in the Adriatic, Krk with an area of over 400sq km. The Island is located in the North East of Croatia in the bay of Rijecki Zaljev, and is just south of Rijeka.
History Galore from Cave Dwelling Neolithic Man, the Bronze Age, the Iron Age, the Romans, the Venetians, the Hungarians and a mad count, imposing excessive taxation, once occupied the island.
Krk is now an excellent yacht charter location with good travel links, with a connecting bridge to the mainland and Rijeka International Airport. Krk has several Marina's and ports and local supermarkets, bakers, hardware shops, groceries and various restaurants and Cafe Bars. There are good bus and a Ferry service along with local Tourist Information and Hotels.
