Losinj is an Island in North Croatia located 50 Miles above the Kornati Islands, in the Adriatic Sea. The Island is full of History with remains from the Bronze Age and various Roman Villas in Otok Losinj. Tourism has been influential on the Island since the 19th Century. The Main Settlement is at Mali Losinj.
Mali Losinj is an attractive town with excellent facilities. There are many Bars, Cafes and Restaurants and a small fleet of Fishing Boats in the picturesque town. The Nautural Harbour of Mali Losinj is very sheltered and protected especially in the Autumn and Winter.
There is great Diving and the local town has many shops, supermarkets, Internet Cafes, a Pharmacy as well as the Vegetable and Fish Market and Wifi Hotspots. There is a very friendly Tourist Office who will gladly provide you with details of the adjacent Islands in the region. Mali Losinj is also a magnificent Port for Provisioning for a Charter to the Kornati Islands, which are located 50 miles to the South.
