The Greek Island of Samos is the closest of the Greek Islands to mainland Turkey. The Island lies 1 nautical mile from Cape Mykale in the eastern Aegean Sea. It has many different migratory birds, pretty hill-villages, Monasteries and rare Monk Seals. Lastly the Archaeological Museum at Vathy represents one of the best collections in Greece.
