Palawan is a nature sanctuary of the world. Full of Mountains, caves, lush rainforests, excellent diving and idyllic beaches. The island is protected by a coral reef that is full with a huge variety of marine life.
Palawan is excellent for anything to do with yachts, diving fishing and boats. At Miniloc, you can find the El Nido Marine Reserve Sanctuary, which is one of the most beautiful locations within the province. Mangroves, silicon sandy beaches, limestone and coral reefs, rare marine mammals and manta rays can be found here. There are also popular small resorts on the island which are favoured by visiting tourists and locals.
The Island has a Wildlife Sanctuary in Busuanga, which has African mammals along with local philippine mammals living in harmony. Palawan is 366 miles to the southwest of Manila, lying between Mindoro Island and Borneo to the south. The Island is 265 miles long and 25 miles wide.
The capital city is the colourful Puerto Princesa. The province of Palawan has two varied climates and the southern part of the island avoids most Tropical Storms.
